• Sky Observation Project- Students will make a series of 5 nightly observations.

• How to make a star finder  or Planisphere.  You can make an inexpensive class set by photocopying and laminating the planisphere disc, gluing the base to a manila folder with the bottom edge lined up with the folding edge of the folder.  Cut around 3 sides and use a metal clip to hold it all together.   Each student can make their own to keep. 

• Lesson:  How to use a Planisphere -  As an enrichment to this lesson, I would give each student a small inexpensive compass and give them a few minutes to figure out how to use, or at least orientate, the planisphere before I actually begin the lesson.
