Tree List: Use this list to help you get
started:

Requirements:

Collect leaves and place in a zip lock bag.
Rub or scan as soon as possible to avoid drying out.

Mandatory Leaf Information:
1. Common
Name of Leaf
2. Where
& When you found it. Town, State, Date
3. Simple
or Compound Leaf : Label the Blade, Leaflet, Veins, Petiole
4. Venation
Pattern: Parallel, Palmate, or Pinnate
5. Margin
Type: Smooth, Serrated, Lobed
Rubbing: Place leaf
under white computer paper and rub entire leaf with a pencil, colored pencil or
crayon. Be sure to include all edges.
OR:
Scanning: Place leaf
under scanner, "top" side on glass. You must copy-right your
scan, place an index card with your name and date on it and scan it as
you scan the leaf. No exceptions. Print out picture.
Grading Scale:

6 Leaves = B- |
7 Leaves = B |

8 Leaves = B+ |
9 Leaves = A- |
10 Leaves = A |
If any requirements are missing, points will be
deducted from your initial grade.
